Our friends who we will see in a few weeks, the Owens, sent us the following urgent request:
"We visited a village yesterday. The kind that is not easy to forget. Extremely poor. Sticks with tarps or anything else that could be set up to create shelter. No electricity. Haul your own water. The kind where you walk away and think about it for days and days and feel terrible for ever having complained about "not having something". We passed out some clothes and I learned a good lesson about how not to pass our clothes. Not all the pregnant mama's got something for their unborn babies or newly born babies. My thinking was if anyone felt lead perhaps we could put together individual bags. Let's say for each a couple pieces of baby clothing, maybe a few diapers, some baby wash, a pair of booties, a hat, and a small blanket (remember nights here get chilly during the winter) Just some ideas and trust me in decent used condition is fine. These people will take what we give them (probably not the bloody underwear though that someone gave the Wilke's!) I would love to be able to distribute blankets to each family in the village, but I guess one thing at a time."
HOW CAN YOU HEP WITH MISSIONS IN MEXICO????
Josh and Lacy will be heading down to work with Brandon and Jill Owen, and Greg and Marianne Wilke, for 3 months. We are leaving Evansville on the 26th of December. If you can get any of the following items to us, along with $2.00 for border taxes, we will gladly take them down to the mission as donations for this village and the villages surrounding Ejido 21 del Marzo.
We need the following items for the children:***Individual bags. Let's say for each a couple pieces of baby clothing, maybe a few diapers, some baby wash, a pair of booties, a hat, and a small blanket ***Movies in Spanish (disney, animation, etc)***Spanish children's music on tapes or CD's***Computer games on CD, preferably in spanish*******************************************************And for the adults we need:***Movies in Spanish***Spanish music on CD's***Computer programs/games in spanish - especially educational programs*******************************************************There is also a need for the following electronics:***Laptops (doesn't matter age, as long as they have charger with them)***Tape recorders or CD players (Doesn't matter the age or look - illiteracy is a problem, having books on tape is really a blessing for many)***DVD Players (doesn't matter age or look, as long it works)***Projector (showing films on a 13" television is proving very difficult with large crowds.
Thanks! If you do not live in Evansville, you will need to mail us these things. Please email us for this mailing address, as I will not post it on a public site like this. My email address is unifiedbody@hotmail.com
Please include $2.00 to $3.00 for border taxes. Taxes at the US/Mexico border are about 21% of the estimated value on any items that are not personal effects. "Estimated Value" is basically the price of what you would charge at a rummage sale for the item. PLEASE do not send new items!!!! These will be estimated at a higher value. If you send clothing, please send your children's used clothing, or buy it from thrift stores and send us the receipt.
We look forward to hearing from those who can help out in this way!

We are Josh and Lacy Webb. We married in 2003 as missionaries, and continue now together in our calling as a family to spread the love of Christ wherever he allows us to be. Believers are the ministry, the servants, of our Lord and Savior. the basis of His Ministry. We make up a web of servants, which stretches across the world, touching lives in many areas but connecting them all through us to our Lord and Savior, the Risen Messiah, Jesus the Christ.
