Ok, there is a lot to talk about last Sunday we went with Greg Wilkey to one of the nearest big cities called Navahoa, there we visited a sister in the Lord and spent much time and prayer with her, I you recall from my last post that I have become friends with a new broter and sister in the Lord Udiel and Pati, well the woman I speek of is Pati's sister. A few days later back in Toltekas (Where we hold out church meetings and the home of Udiel and Pati) Pati's sister and husband came to visit. He is not a believer and since I was there helping Udiel build a closet we sat down for a moment and had some coffe and began to read the word. Reluctantly at first Pati's brother in law read from Hebrews for me and we talked about it a little. Mind you I still do not speak very well but bilingual bible in hand I let them do all the reading and work my way through the conversation. It was very rewarding.
We are very interested in making more wood cook stoves. The ones that have been constructed have turned out to save about 50% of the firewood that was being used. They are called jet stoves and concentrat very little heat into one area for cooking and boiling water. Untill now they have all been made from black pipe witch is not avalible or to expencive. So I set to it and designed one out of brick. It works very well and we hope to be able to replace some more stoves for people as funds are avalible. The four Christian families that have them are very grateful and send you their thanks.
Also I will be installing a new window for the sister in Christ Carmen. She owns and runs a one room store out of her house and gives the items and takes the money through a window. However it does not have a good way to close so Greg has donated a metal window frame with two doors. This will be a blessing because Carmen can lock it instead of wedging a board up agains the open window.
Thanks to you all the acquired clothes are to given out. Our next plan of attack is an Indian village. This is a very poor village and they mostly keep to them selves. So please be in prayer for we will have a meeting there this Sunday and after worship we will distribute the items. We have been out to witness in Sirabampo a couple times before on our own. God willing, this next Sunday, we will be taking the brothers from Toltecas (Udiel & Manwell)
BUILDING
My motto has been to "build people" not buildings. So this is something new for me. We have drawn up estimates for two projects. There is one church that plans to send a team down in March and they will be working on something here if God allows. One project is a 20' by 24' covered area for one family to use as an eating and sleeping area in the summer. ( The brick houses here are like ovens in the summer. ) This location has been the principle meeting place for us, and the structure would also be used for meetings. This is real need for us in the winter.
The second project is in the same village of Toltecas. It is for Udiel and Pati they have 3 small children and live in only 2 rooms. We are praying to know if Jesus wants us to help construct a roof over two bedrooms. There are walls and a foundation already that Udiel has construted and we will be puting on a roof over the hall the conects all 4 rooms down the middle. And then a front and back door, windows, and plaster the walls. This is going to be a very expencive projet and through the guidance of the Lord, faith, and your prayers we will see it through. The cost is about $1700. If you have questions or want to help sponsor one of these for the blessing of your brethren here, let us know, and we will send details.
Another project is already being started. It’s a bathroom also for Uriel and Pati. You might think to your self why would they want a new bathroom before adding on the bedrooms? Because they first of all take their baths in a room with a dirt floor and their out hous is not well and can not suport a toilet. Withe the new bathroom they wont have to leave the house to shower or us the bathroom. It will also be conected to a city drain (which is very unheard of the the Ahidos)We have the funds to start the foundation and the walls. Contact us if you want to sponsor any other part of the following list. All costs listed are materials only. The labor will be done by the owner with our team helping as a discipleship opportunity with me cordinating and doing material runs. Udiel and I will be doing the the foundation and laying the brick for the walls and by faith complete the project as funds are avalible. This brother and his family diserve this Udiel works very hard and some thimes his boss doesnt pay his workers for weeks and some time not all they are owed. But never the less Udiel still found time to come and work with me on my house. So I feel the Lord calling me to bless him
