This won't be a long post. Mostly we have pictures. The transition from Texas into New Mexico and then Arizona was beautiful. We entered into the lower end of the rockies, and the transition from flat texas to rocky New Mexico was amazing. The desert may look dead, but it is alive and has a beauty that is all it's own. Nothing of God's creation is faulted. He makes all things beautiful. Please join us in awe of his majestic creation:
We stayed in a hotel in Midland, TX on Sunday, which was provied by Calvary Chapel of Midland, TX. On Monday, we stayed with pastor Marshall Boyer of Calvary Chapel in Deming, New Mexico, and his wife, Ruth. They were wonderful hosts and we really appreciated their kindness and hospitality. We found friendship and conversed for hours with both of them, and the conversations were enjoyable and welcomed after a lonely night in Midland!
Tuesday we arrived in Tucson, very grateful to reach our border destination and yet very tired. We are worn out. But our hosts, Cliff and Jan Scott, have been very gracious to us. They have provided all our meals, and have allowed us to come and go as we please and to allow us plenty of rest. Their grace has been a great relief and blessing!
Joshua has had digestive troubles for the last three days. Please pray for him, because he has stayed weak for the last three days, and doesn't seem to be able to metabolize food well - he stays very tired after he eats, and stays constantly hungry and his blood sugar keeps dropping. We have been watching his diet closely and avoiding sugars, but we believe that the Lord will heal him before we enter Mexico. Please join us in prayer for his healing.
Also, our friend Brandon Owen is also sick today. Our entry into Mexico has been delayed for a day or so, to allow him time to heal. We believe that Jehovah Rafah, our healer, will heal him of this sickness. Please join us in prayer for him.
Our email account glitched this week, and as a result sent out all our personal email to our mission group. We are very sorry about this, and would like you to know that the glitch has been rectified. During this inconvenience, an indescriminate and unwise email was sent to us, which unfortunately, reached many of our readers' mailboxes and has caused much confusion. Please accept our apologies for this and thank you for your prayers. The enemy has tried several attempts to bring down our spirits and distract us from our purpose and vision, through various means, and we recognized this as another of his attacks. We choose to keep our focus on Christ and remember the goal he has set before us, to be faithful followers of that which he has called us to do. Please pray that we stay focused on the Lord's arms of everlasting Grace for our strength and not the strength of man.
Many blessings to you as you settle down from the hustle and bustle of the holidays! This will be our last post for a few days and we travel into Mexico and get settled in the village.
