The Lord has been very gracious to us in these last two weeks, and we are very thankful for his provision. When we arrived in Tyler, Texas, we were expecting a day’s worth of work. What Joshua was offered was two weeks worth of work with a fellow Christian who, himself, was also a repairman. Mark Campbell, and his wife Terri, hospitably invited us into their home and, through the Lord’s provision, served us each day with internet access, phone access, and a bed and showers and a kitchen to cook in. Lacy found relief from the humdrum of traveling, and Josh enjoyed the work with Mark.

Calvary Chapel of Tyler was also very gracious to give Josh work in the church, which he completed with Mark. Lacy was able to attend a Ladies’ retreat with the women one weekend, which was incredibly uplifting and encouraging. Joshua attended several prayer meetings and men’s breakfasts, and we were both able to attend the Bible Studies and services. Pastor Tim Barnes, and his wife Marilyn, hooked us up with Mark and Terri, and they were also very friendly. Lacy also made a friend named DeLayne, who was led by the Holy Spirit to pray and speak with her about some spiritual matters that Lacy really had been struggling with, but had not mentioned to anyone. The spirit’s ministry to us through all the people in Tyler was very exciting to experience.
Before we left, we had the privilege of meeting Isaac, who is a missionary with YWAM (Youth with a Mission). Isaac is from Nigeria, and he plays a mean djembe. He taught Josh some new taps and slaps and then they played together. Josh really had a blast! We left Tyler on Saturday, and though we only knew them for two weeks, we miss the fellowship of the church and our hosts. They were very kind and we can’t easily forget their hospitality.
