Urgent Prayer

The lord blessed Josh in Tyler, Texas, with two weeks worth of work and a wonderful financial blessing from Tyler Calvary Chapel (which is as small as Evansville CC, about 40 people). The church was very gracious, I was able to go to a ladies's retreat, which blessed me tremendously, and Josh enjoyed the work.

But we all know that where God guides, he provides, and we both knew that the amount of money we accumulated in Tyler was for a reason. We have already depleted half the funds with this car trouble. We were stranded on the interstate, 10 miles from the nearest exit, so a trucker stopped and let us use his phone to call a tow truck. We replaced a battery at autozone, but then as we drove away, the car died again. A mechanic came and worked on our van from 2:00pm - 7:00pm. He finally hit something with a screwdriver and the car started (go figure). They tested is a few times, Josh paid him for his time, and the guy hopped in his car and drove away - just in time for the van to die again!

A baptist pastor has graciously bought a hotel room for us for tonight, but we will not be able to see a mechanic until monday morning.

We ask the following specific prayers:

1) we can find a place to stay Sunday night
2) The lord would calm our fears about finances - we need to have enough to get to our next destination, Jackson Mississippi, which is six hours away.
3) That the van would be fixed in a timely manner so that we do not continue to spend finances and time here in Marshall
4) that if it is God's will that we stay here for longer than Monday, he gives us peace, wisdom, and patience, and that he helps us to accept this glitch in our plans, and trust His plan.
