San Angelo, Texas

We traveled across the state of Texas on Tuesday, December 11. It was stormy all the drive, but we made it to San Angelo, TX, safely. The drive included a nice two hour jaunt down a country road where windmills reached out of low lying clouds and scared us a few times. No matter how many times we see them in our travels, windmills always seem to mesmerize us. For those who are not from the west, I’ll briefly explain the purpose of windmills: these are large fields of wind energy, and the windmills themselves consist of a high pole, with three crisp spears that rotate against the wind. Where there is one windmill, there’s usually anywhere from 50-200. They tower into the clouds on top of hills and mountains, and the energy they produce is renewable because it’s totally based on the wind.
We had a great time staying at the home of Robert and Eve Hogue. We also went on a mission trip with Regalos de Amor, the ministry of Pastor Tony and Calvary Chapel San Angelo. We’ll document this later because of the enormous blessing we experienced. On Monday, we will travel to Roswell, NM.
