In the previous updates, we expressed concern for the home we were living in. The owner had, at first agreed to rent to us, but later changed his mind and wanted to sell. He changed his mind three more times, until finally, his son and daughter-in-law, who are our contacts in the village, asked to not be part of the line of communication anymore, as they desired our friendship more than our rent.
So, we began searching for a home. After several weeks of stress, Uriel and Pati presented us with the question: “Why not live in the church?”
So, after prayer, we are now living in the church. The church has a main sanctuary, one large room, and another smaller room. The smaller room is now the kitchen and children’s classroom. The large room will soon be split into two rooms to form two bedrooms, one for us, and one for Pascual. The sanctuary holds our living room items, which can be easily hidden for worship service.
We have a great peace about moving. We have only a few small items left to bring from the house, and we are in the process of cleaning it out and washing it down for the owner. The idea of living in a church is not foreign to us. We lived in the upper floor of out home church in Evansville, Indiana, for three years while we ministered to the inner city. This time is a little different, since Joshua has been named the “pastor” (although we have no qualifications except a love for the Lord and for this village), and so the house is often visited and we experience little to no privacy. At nghts, we shut and lock the doors, and the quiet and stillness of the nighttime is a relished enjoyment.

We are Josh and Lacy Webb. We married in 2003 as missionaries, and continue now together in our calling as a family to spread the love of Christ wherever he allows us to be. Believers are the ministry, the servants, of our Lord and Savior. the basis of His Ministry. We make up a web of servants, which stretches across the world, touching lives in many areas but connecting them all through us to our Lord and Savior, the Risen Messiah, Jesus the Christ.
